In February this year (2024), Newburn Parish has received the Silver Award in the Christian Environmental awards scheme for churches!
This is a result of integrating our response to environmental issues into worship, teachings, management of church buildings, land and community engagement and lifestyle.
We are proud to show off our commitment to caring for God's creation.
There is a requirement for the Diocese to reach bronze level award, with the fantastic efforts and leadership from Helen Dawson we have moved a step forward and gained SILVER status!.
